Cathy J. Mullen Obituary (1953

Cathy Mullen, 61, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Legacy Nursing Home, Amarillo, Texas. The daughter of Leola (Adams) and Kenneth Hilliard, Cathy Jean was born January 15, 1953 in Pratt, Kansas. Cathy attended Liberal, Kansas schools and Garden City, KS, Community College. She was married to Doug McGhee in 1974. Cathy worked for many years at the Satanta, KS Medical Center, later enjoyed working in a children's daycare center and was a talented florist. In 1989, she married Jeff Mullen. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pampa, Texas. Cathy had lived in several places in Kansas before moving to Pampa, Texas for several years, and made her home in Amarillo since 2008. Survivors include her mother, Leola Hartley of Guymon, OK; two daughters, Michelle and husband, Steven Nolte; Karisa and husband, Dustin Wright; son, Shawn Trisler; all of Amarillo; sister, Lynette Nelson; brothers, Rick Hilliard and wife, Becky; Wayne Nelson and wife, Robbie; all of Guymon; Terry Hilliard of Goodwell, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Keenan and Kalleigh Nolte; and Reagan Trisler. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pearl and Clyde Adams, father, Kenneth Hilliard, and a granddaughter, Angel Nicole Nolte. Funeral services will be Saturday morning, February 1st, 11:00 AM, at the Henson-Novak Funeral Chapel, 501 NW 5th, Guymon, with Rev. Lloyd Riddles, pastor of Sunset Lane Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.
