Dorsey Hobson Obituary (1954

Guymon, Oklahoma - Dorsey Sandoval Hobson, 60, passed away Saturday morning, December 27, 2014 at Memorial Hospital of Texas County. The daughter of Pauline (Montoya) and Antonio Sandoval, Dorsey was born February 6, 1954 in Guymon. Dorsey attended Guymon schools and had lived in Guymon her entire life. She was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Dorsey was such a generous spirit. She was known to always have people in her home and give them a good meal at her table. She loved her family and was the adoring Nana to her seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Dorsey is survived by her two children, Alice Beckham and husband, John, of McAlester, OK; and Vernon Dick and wife, Erin of Goodwell; four sisters, Penny Roybal and Jean Brewer, both of Guymon; Dee Jasper and Sophie Sandoval, both of Logan, NM; two brothers, LeRoy Sandoval and Raymond Sandoval, both of Guymon; seven grandchildren, James Bryan, Hannah Pearson, Joanna Pearson, Rayanna Pearson, Brayden Howard, M'Kendree Dick, Kaden Dick; three great grandchildren, Heidi Bryan, Jaylyn Sandoval and Jensen Bryan; and 24 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Corina Vasquez, Fanny Mallard, Stella Tramel-Perry; and two brothers, Tony "Boy" Sandoval and Lupe Sandoval. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, December 31, 2:00 PM at the Guymon LDS Church, on Memory Drive. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, 6-7:30 PM at Henson-Novak Funeral Home, 501 NW Fifth, Guymon.
