Doug Allen Clifton Obituary (1948

Boise City, Oklahoma - Doug Clifton, 65, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Cimarron Memorial Hospital. The son of Lois (Stallard) and Frank Allen Clifton, Douglas Allen was born December 5, 1948 in Dalhart, Texas. Doug attended Boise City schools all 12 years and later served in the United States Army. He was married to Marlene Jones in 1974 and they had two sons, Michael and Jeffrey. Doug was a lifelong Boise City resident, farming and ranching in the area his entire life. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was married to Diane Cryer in 2010 and they divorced in 2012. He is survived by his two sons, Michael Allen Clifton and his wife, Mattie, of Grapevine, Texas; and Jeffrey Brian Clifton of Boise City; a sister, Candice Hunt of Ruidoso, New Mexico; grandson, Gavin Michael Clifton; and a niece, Lori Robertson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Frank Clifton. Memorial services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, February 20th, 2:00 PM at the Clifton Farm, with family friend, John Henley, officiating. Military honors and burial of cremains will follow under the care of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
