Evalyn Dahl Obituary (1937

Evalyn Dahl, 86-year-old longtime Gruver, Texas resident passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at her son's residence in Amarillo, Texas. Evalyn Ann Edwards was born March 4, 1937 to Roy and Idabel (Rich) Edwards. She attended the Gruver Public School System graduating with the class of 1955. Evalyn was united in marriage to Loren Dahl on December 23, 1955 in Gruver at The Gruver Methodist Church. They were blessed with two children from this union. Evalyn was a homemaker for many years. After her children left home, she took classes at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. She worked at The Golden Crown in Guymon as well as other floral shops in Gruver and Spearman. She was a faithful member of the Gruver Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Loren who passed away in 2021. Evalyn is survived by one daughter: Laurie Dahl of Amarillo, Texas, one son: Russell Dahl of Amarillo, Texas. She is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews, their spouses, many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was blessed over her lifetime to have many close friends. Pallbearers for Evalyn are Randy Andrews , Ryan Andrews , Matt Andrews , Kenny Andrews , Kevin Hart , Wade Dahl , Scot Dahl , Bud Hopkins, Jimmy Edwards and JP TeBeest. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Gruver Methodist Church with Pastor Lewis Holland officiating. Interment will follow at Gruver City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gruver Methodist Church or charity of choice in Evalyns name and will be accepted by the funeral home C/O Henson Novak Funeral Directors P.O.
