Genaro Hidalgo

Texhoma, Oklahoma - Genaro Hidalgo, 50, passed away Monday morning, September 24, 2012 at BSA Hospice, Amarillo, Texas.

The son of Maria Esther and Luciano Hidalgo, he was born September 19, 1962 in Mexico. Hidalgo attended school in Vilas, Colorado and later attended Seward County Community College. He was a longtime employee and trucker driver for Prestige Farms, which had previously been Val and Murphy Farms. Genaro was interested in many things and did all he could to make a better life for his children.

He is survived by his children, son, Alonso Hidalgo of Texhoma and daughter, Yomaira Hidalgo of Amarillo; parents, Maria Esther and Luciano Hidalgo; two brothers, Jesus Luciano Hidalgo and Jose Martin Hidalgo; three sisters, Maria Elena Whisenant, Maria Reina Hidalgo and Irma Yolando Hidalgo; and his adored grandson, Genaro Alonso Hidalgo, II.

Funeral mass will be Thursday afternoon, September 27th, 2:00 PM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 1220 N Quinn, Guymon, with Father Raul Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow in Texhoma Cemetery under the care of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, Guymon.
