Kody Keylon Obituary (1994

Texhoma, Oklahoma - Kody Drew Keylon, 15, son of Denise and Kelly Keylon, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 3, 2009. Kody was born September 16, 1994 in Guymon and was welcomed by big brother Kyle Heath Keylon. Baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Texhoma in January 1995, Kody was confirmed as a member in April 2009 and was also part of the church youth group. Always involved in all Texhoma Red Devils sports, Kody also enjoyed Babe Ruth Baseball, golf and was an important part of the Texhoma FFA, where he judged and showed livestock. He also enjoyed golf, trap shooting and loved playing his electric guitar. He had previously been active in 4-H. Kody always had that beautiful, ornery grin and was known for his big heart and laughter. Survivors include his mother, Denise, father, Kelly and brother, Kyle, all of Texhoma; grandparents, Katy and Jim Osborn of Guymon, OK; Blenda and Glen Keylon of Cairo, NE; great grandparents, Jo and Doyle Wiles of Bentonville, AR; Alta Lively of Guymon; Selma Keylon, June and Byron (Smitty) Smith of Texhoma; aunt and uncles, Kassidy and Brent Gascho of Wood River, NE; Veronica Keylon of Texhoma; Michelle and Koey Keylon of Oklahoma City; Casey and Kasey Keylon of Seward, NE; Kameron Keylon of Texhoma; and cousins, Kolton, Kinley, Kiefer, Karson, Kristen, Kori and Kennedy Keylon, Amber Escalera and Brian Newman and many other relatives. Funeral services will be held at the Texhoma School Gymnasium, Friday morning, November 6th, 10:00 AM with Pastor John Wackler officiating. Interment will follow in Texhoma Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton and Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
