Guymon, Oklahoma
Laurie Green, age 71, of Guymon, OK, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026. The daughter of Eugene (Gene) and Jo Marie Miller, Laurie was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 19, 1954. Raised in Guymon, Laurie attended Guymon Schools where she graduated with the Guymon High School class of 1973.
Laurie married the love of her life, Ronnie Green, on May 24, 1973. The couple made their early home in Guymon, eventually settling into their permanent home on the Miller Ranch where they worked hand in hand on the farm and ranch.
Laurie raised 5 girls alongside Ronnie. Never afraid of a “little hard work”, Laurie worked a
variety of jobs including being a cook at the Guymon Livestock Auction (the Sale Barn), a
bus driver for Hardesty School district, and a small business owner of a secondhand
clothing store.
Laurie was generous and rarely missed an opportunity to adopt her daughters’ friends or
care for a family member. She loved to garden and nothing made her happier than caring for her house plants and flowers. Laurie will forever be well loved and remembered for her home cooking, especially her famous cinnamon rolls.
Laurie was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Green; her parents, Jo Marie and
Eugene (Gene) Miller; and one brother, Bradley Miller.
Laurie is survived by her 5 girls: Erica (Britch) Maddox, Jessica (Vaughn) Wallace, Monica
(Jeff Wildrix) Green, Mica Parks, and Clancy Green; her grandchildren: Paxton (CJ) Cavin,
Kaitlynn (Matt) Cassady, Rikki (Allen Dixon) Green, Payton Maddox, Jordan Wallace, Cara
Sandoval, Michael Wallace, Tobi Sandoval, Karsten Parks, and Avery Morris; and her great- grandchildren: Ollie Cavin, Ames Cavin, Josh Dixon, Darrel Dixon, and Sloane Cassady; as well as one brother, Eugene Miller.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Henson-Novak Chapel with visitation following. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Feeding Hearts and Hands, a local non-profit in Guymon providing nutritious meals and fellowship for the community.
