Lois Reid

Lois Reid, 91, lifelong Guymon resident, passed away Saturday morning, June 14, 2014 at BSA Hospital, Amarillo, Texas.

The daughter of Essie (Watkins) and Ira Stafford, Lois Wynema Stafford was born January 7, 1923 in Guymon. Lois attended Guymon schools and was married to Andrew Irvin Reid in June, 1941. Irvin and Lois were part of the greatest generation. They worked in their business, raised their family, and contributed to their community. Lois was a loving and adoring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Reid, who passed away August 14, 1985; sister, Doris Waldrip; and a granddaughter, Kaci Ronne.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Dahl; four sons, Ray Reid and wife, Janet; Don Reid and wife, Opal; John Reid and wife, Deena, all of Guymon; and Bobby Reid, and wife, Stacie of Amarillo, Texas. She is the very much adored "Grammie" to her 19 grandchildren, Tim and Cory Reid, Randy and Kristy Reid, Jeff and Stephanie Reid, April Shepherd, Tiffany and Chris York, Lindsey and Darren Irlbeck, Caleb Dahl, Nicole and Wayne Kiser, James Collier, Mary Kay Collier Kuykendall, Connie Ponder, Donna and Robert Enns, Misty and Robert Metcalf, Larissa and Johnny Houck, Kelly and Ricky Allison, Cory and Kara Reid, Kayla Reid, and Gaylon Bailey and 24 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Tuesday morning, June 17th, 10:00 AM, at First Baptist Church, 2201 N Lelia, Guymon, with Rev. Trevor Bulls, pastor at First Baptist Church, Boise City, OK, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery under the care of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors.
