Martha (Sue) Ercle Ramsey Obituary (1923

Guymon, Oklahoma - Martha Ercle (Sue) Ramsey, 84, passed away Friday evening, December 5, 2008 at the Dunaway Manor in Guymon. The daughter of Elizabeth Euiline (Calhoun) and Louis Demoin Goodwin, she was born December 20, 1923 in Stonington, Colorado. The Goodwin family made their home in Elkhart, Kansas where the young Ercle Goodwin graduated from Elkhart High School with the Class of 1941. She was married to William C. Ramsey in 1945 in Richfield, Kansas. Sue had lived in the area her entire life and had worked for Ideal Grocer as a checker for more than 25 years. Survivors include her daughters, Deanna and husband Don Johnson of Guymon; and Patricia Ramsey and husband, Randy Ide of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Terrina and husband, Rip Yocham of Enid, OK; Terrah Johnson of Kanab, UT; and Michael Johnson and wife, Micah of Guymon; and four great grandchildren, Kaitlin and Emily Yocham and Jace and Aden Johnson. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael William Ramsey and Dale Lewis Ramsey; two brothers, Hub Goodwin and Edmond Goodwin; and two sisters, Ellen Odell and Nellie Blakeley. Funeral services will be Tuesday morning, December 9, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Henson-Novak Funeral Chapel, 501 NW Fifth, Guymon, with Rev. Charles Mendenhall, pastor of Victory Center, officiating. Family graveside services will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home anytime Monday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
