Raymond (Ray) Ronne Obituary (1933

Raymond Richard Ronne, 79, passed away Tuesday evening, April 30, 2013 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, Kansas. The son of Stella Belle (Denny) and Wilford Richard Ronne, he was born October 13, 1933 on the family farm in Deuel County, South Dakota. Raymond married his sweetheart, Vivian Ione Friedricks on June 26, 1954 at the Canby Lutheran Church, Canby, Minnesota. He began his career with Swift in Watertown, South Dakota and the Ronne family moved to Guymon in 1967 to continue his work as a Roller Grader. After the Swift plant closed, he worked for Silverhawk Security and Seaboard Plant as a Security Guard. Raymond was a lifelong Lutheran and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Always an outdoorsman, Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and Vivian enjoyed bowling, bingo and casinos. As Grandpa, he always enjoyed all the grandkids sporting events and activities. Raymond's beloved Vivian passed away July 22, 2012 after 58 years of marriage. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon and husband, Mike Hampton of Beaver, OK; and Sandy and husband, Dewayne Mauldin; two sons, Steve Ronne and wife, Susan; Scott Ronne and wife, Brenda, all of Guymon; grandchildren, David Hampton and wife, Whitney; Rachael and husband, Jace Smith; Jonathan Hampton and wife Melissa; Shawn Ronne and wife, Monica; Sheryl and husband, Clint Dellinger; Dustin Mauldin; Kari Mauldin; Jacob Ronne; Terri Hertensen; and Natasha Ming; and seventeen grandchildren, Hunter, Davney, and Trigger Hampton, Cade, Cole and Emma Smith, Hannah, Adlynn and Grant Hampton; KayLea, Nathan and Austin Ronne, Colt and Landon Dellinger, Hendrix Galindo, Carsen and Kamron Ming. He is also survived by three sisters, Tut and husband, Everett Evans of Clear Lake, South Dakota; Lorraine Benck of Watertown; Marlene and husband, Danny Lacek of Canby; and his brother, Lyle Ronne and wife, Char, Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Darlene Fairchild; brother, Wally Ronne; and an infant grandson, Shelton Richard Ronne. The Ronne family will receive friends on Friday evening, 5:30-6:30 PM at the HensonaEUR"Novak Funeral Directors, 501 NW Fifth St, Guymon. Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon, May 4th, 3:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1212 N Crumley, Guymon with Pastor Mark Wescoatt officiating.
