Richard Scheller Sr.

Richard Scheller, Sr., 75-year-old resident of Boise City, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City.
Richard Leon Scheller was born March 31, 1945, to George Alfred and Lucy Mary (Mullins) Scheller in Bowie, Texas.
He was united in marriage to Rita Williams on April 7, 1963 in Boise City, Oklahoma.
He attended Boise City public school system graduating with the class of 1965. He was a lifelong Cimarron County resident. Richard worked for the county maintaining roads until his retirement. He then worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Dalhart where he retired for a second time.
Richard enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two nieces.
Richard is survived by his wife Rita of the home, one daughter: Debra Harkins and Husband Jody of Amarillo, Texas, two sons: Richard Scheller and wife Stephanie of Boise City, Oklahoma and Kevin Scheller of Charleston West Virginia, thirteen grandchildren: Stetson, Justin, Tavis, Tyrell, Richie, Colby, Grant, Colorado, Marshall, Kaitlyn, Daniel and Ethan, ten great grandchildren: Luke, Marshall, Emma, Dallas, Sophia, Savanna, Samantha, Sara, Brodee, Rhaelee and one on the way. He is survived by two brothers Jim and wife Barbara of Ogden, Utah and Earnest and wife Sally of Ogden, Utah.
He also leaves behind several other relatives and a host of friends.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
