Roy Lee Uptergrove

Roy Lee Uptergrove, 90, of Aubrey, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at his home. Roy Lee was born February 4, 1923 in Sayre, OK to Edward and Zula (McGaugh) Uptergrove. He married Betty Parks in Spearman, TX on February 12, 1949. Roy served in the US Army Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Aubrey, TX; son, Roy Alan Uptergove of Allen, TX; two daughters, Valorie K. Clark of McKinney, TX, Lee A. Josephson, Pilot Point, TX; brother, Hubert Uptergrove of Big Spring, TX; sister, Della Beth Miller of Amarillo, TX; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Susan E. Larsen; and brother Clovis S. Uptergrove.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 11, 2013 at First Rock Fellowship in Aubrey, TX. A funeral service will follow starting at 11:00AM with Chris Walden and Harold Bowman officiating. There will also be a visitation held at First Baptist Church in Spearman, TX on Saturday, October 12, 2013 starting at 9:00 AM with a graveside service following at Lieb Cemetery in Hutchinson County at 10:30 AM.
