Tim Farmer Obituary (1955

Timothy Clyde Farmer, 57, of Guymon, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Bartlesville, Oklahoma, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born to Clyde Ewing Farmer and Mary Lou (Gore) Farmer Wiebe on Feb. 22, 1955, in Guymon. Tim graduated from Guymon High School in 1973, where he gained a statewide reputation as an outstanding percussionist with the Tiger marching, concert, and jazz bands. He went on to play with several regional country-rock bands. In addition to music, Tim's special interests included aviation; camping, boating and fishing; and reading histories and novels about the Old West and World War II. Mechanically inclined, he worked in various capacities in the oil and construction industries. He married Sherry Crawford in 1975, Phyllis Salisbury in 1981, and Lori Treat in 1995. He is survived by his children, Jesse Shane Farmer and his wife, Andrea, of Guymon, and Bridgette Farmer of Tulsa; his grandchildren, Teagan and Fallyn Farmer of Guymon; his mother, Mary Lou Farmer Wiebe and her husband, Ernest, of Guymon; and his siblings, Tina Walsh and her husband, Pat, of Bartlesville, and Ronald Farmer and his wife, Patricia, of Jama, Manabi, Ecuador. Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Lori, in 1999, and his father, Clyde Farmer, in 2005. Funeral services will be held in the Henson-Novak Funeral Chapel, 501 NW Fifth St, Guymon, at 2:00pm on Friday, December 7, 2012, with Rev. Odie Nunley, officiating. Interment will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is requesting that donations be made to Hope Hospice, 4100 SE Adams Rd Suite E109, Bartlesville, OK 74006.
