Vicki Christian

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vicki Lynn Christian (nee Shuler). Born on September 27th, 1950, in Guymon, Oklahoma, Vicki was a beacon of compassion, dedication, and love. She passed on September 13th, 2024, leaving a legacy of care and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. A cherished wife, mother, caregiver, and friend, Vicki filled her life with acts of service and kindness, embodying a spirit of thoughtfulness that will be deeply missed.

Vicki was a proud alumnus of Guymon High School, graduating in 1968. She continued her education at Seward County Community College, where she earned her L.P.N. degree. This marked the start of her illustrious career as a nurse, a profession she held with pride and dedication. Vicki served her community at Guymon Home Health/Hospice until her retirement, touching countless lives with her compassionate care. Her commitment to her work was only surpassed by the love she held for her family. Her husband, children, and the work she did as a healthcare professional were what mattered most to her. Vicki also found solace and strength in her faith. As a member of Sunset Lane Baptist Church, her life reflected the Christian teachings she held dear, particularly the verse from 1 Corinthians 16:14, "Let all that you do be done in love."

Vicki is survived by her beloved husband, Steve Christian; her daughters, Shadlynn Chapman and Jennifer (Mark) Reser; sons, Tyler (Tonde) Christian and Steven Ray (Chelsea) Christian; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Gladys Shuler; her siblings, Jacque and Clark "Sonny" Shuler; her daughter, Tabetha Christian; and her grandson, Payton Fly.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Vicki's life will be held on Friday, September 20th, 2024, at 11:00 AM at The Henson-Novak Funeral Directors Chapel with Pastor Dallas McGlasson officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Vicki's name to The Guymon Animal Shelter C/O City of Guymon, 424 N. Main Street, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
